Biographyhang Xiao is an artist who is mainly known for his photography works. He was born in 1981, in Yantai, Shandong province, China. He studied architecture and worked as a photojournalist for news media. He has exhibited internationally and won numerous photography awards, such as Golden Panda Outstanding Photographic Artist Award, China (2019), Robert Gardner Fellow in Photography, Harvard University, US (2018), The Prix HSBC Pour la Photographie, France (2011), MIO Photo Award–Jurors Award (Morimura Yasumasa), Japan (2010), Three Shadows Photography Award, China (2010), and The Photography Talent Award -Reportage/Documentary Award Winner, France (2010).
